ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER
The Salvation Army Annual Awards Dinner is to recognize the achievements, donations and support of  leaders in the community, as well as thanking the amazing organizations, businesses and individuals who have played an instrumental role in helping The Salvation Army fulfill its' mission to serve those in need in the community. The event also provides a special evening to share The Salvation Army's history, programs, and future projects.

The evening begins with a special"Legacy of Hope" Reception featuring "Salvation Army Donut Girls," a sit-down dinner, Salvation Army Brass Band, Annual Awards ceremony, live auction and special guest speaker, Dr. Ty Cobb.

Dr. Tyrus W. Cobb

Former Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan


Dr. Tyrus W. CObb served as Special  Asst. to President Ronald Reagan for national security affairs from 1983-1989.

He initially served as the Director of Soviet, European and Canadian Affairs, and from 1987-89 as Special Assistant to the President for International Security Issues.

He was the Executive Secretary for President Reagan's summits with Soviet General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev in Geneva (1985) and Reykjavik (1986).

Dr. Cobb has also served as the President and CEO of Busines Executives for National Security (BENS) from 1991-1995, and President/CEO of the Yosemite National Institutes from 1995-2002.
Mr. Cobb served in the United States Army and was a tenured professor at West Point.

He currently serves as the CEO of the Northern Nevada Network.
